CRYSTALLINE SILICA
LABORATORY
Mineralogical analyses are performed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) for the determination of crystalline silica phases (quartz, cristobalite, tridymite) in massive samples and respirable crystalline silica deposited on filters after environmental sampling.
Analitica is a laboratory certified by IMA Europe (Industrial Mineral Association) for the analysis of respirable crystalline silica in massive samples according to the SWFF and SWeRF methods (Size-Weighted Fine Fraction of crystalline silica) in accordance to the EN 17289/2020 standard.
The SWFFcs/SWeRF method allows to determine the respirable crystalline silica (RCS) in different types of materials such as minerals, cosmetics, polymers, rice husks, fillers.
